WOC attendees are being offered a 35% discount off green fees at three, all-grass, championship-ready golf courses in Abu Dhabi – meaning you will pay just AED550 per player (US $150). The UAE capital is fortunate in having all three courses within a 25 kilometre radius and within a 15-20 minute drive of ADNEC.
At Abu Dhabi Golf Club, take to The National Course which is home to January’s PGA European Tour-backed Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship where the world’s best players battle it out for the Falcon Trophy. And you can opt for Night Golf where you can play under lights on the club’s Garden Course for only AED275 per person.
Over at the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club – the region’s first ‘beachfront’ course designed by golfing legend Gary Player – golfers can tackle several beach front holes and if really lucky may get to spot the dolphins which periodically swim in the warm Gulf waters edging the course.
On Yas Island, golfers can head to Yas Links – the region’s only links course designed by Kyle Phillips. This coastal course where every hole is set against dramatic views of the Arabian Gulf has recently entered Golf World’s Top 100 courses and with an inspiring view of Abu Dhabi’s skyline is a must play whilst in the UAE capital.
If time is against you, the fully-floodlit Par 3 Academy Course offers a pleasant taste of links golf at a very affordable AED99.
