Case Studies Discussion and Summary

Macular edema (ME) is a leading cause of vision loss in several ocular disorders, including diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, and uveitis. Many of these diseases are multifactorial or have complicated etiologies that impact treatment considerations. In addition, our understanding of the pathogenesis of macular edema including the relative roles of vascular and inflammatory processes continues to evolve. Clinical data continues to emerge providing valuable information about the benefits of both new and traditional therapies for ME associated with these diseases.
